Plzen vs City post match thread

Everyone in the group will take 6 points off Plzen so let's not get too excited.Yes we played well in the 2nd half and things did improve as Nasri moved more central.Plenty of plusses from the game but if the first half effort is the same on Sunday we will go in losing at half time.
 
Growing signs of improvement. Really enjoyed the second half. I thought Nasri was outstanding. Kun and Edin should really learn that if they work together all the time they'll both score more goals.

So good having Vinny back. Another clean sheet too.
 
Great result and decent performance. Let's be honest it should have been 5 or 6 nil really on chances. Much tougher tests to come but we're off to a good start this time. Nasri was my MoTM tonight. Effective, creative and hardworking. Vinnie made the biggest difference though. Such a great player, leader and organiser. Great goal from YaYa - unstoppable and capped it all off.
 
Good win, no matter who you play in Europe, a 3-0 away win is always great, these smaller teams are alot trickier than people think. Hopefully confidence is alot higher, let's focuse on them lot now.

Yaya is a waste of time as a holding midfielder IMO, but as an attacking midfielder he is one of the worlds best. Great performance from him.

I'm with you. Having Yaya playing farther back has been a mistake. nasri was terrific, best game he's had in a big game for us. Aguero was danergerous throughout. Dzeko was good, still should have scored more. Vinnie proves once again just how great he is. With him we are solid at the back. Without him we are all over the place. Best CD on the planet and most important player for us by far.

Absolutely. Only player in the first half who looked like he wanted to win as well. Fantastic game from him.
 
Good second half. Exactly what we needed before Sunday.

However, I'm going to say it and I'm going to come in for stick, but City are only fantastic once we score. We are too laboured and uninventive when teams defend deep and give us no time on the ball.

Regardless great win, and bring on the rags!
 
Good, and I was happy to see the left side being managed well, Kolarov was using the space well today, much better than I think Clichy would.

Incidentally however we played the best when playing through the middle, how we used to play.
