Pogba Alternatives?

Been thinking of this for a while. Why don't we tempt Madrid for Isco with a good chunk of the Pogba money if we're having difficulty landing Pogba? Isco has shown that he can more than do a decent job in CM role with his great technique and decent work rate. Views on this suggestion are most welcome.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we are interested in addressing our central midfield issues and it will have some serious conquences. Pogba is just a luxury the club can afford and if he turn down the chance to play for us, I don't expect us to sign any central midfielder.

Not sure it was in this thread, but for what it's worth I said the same thing a little bit ago. I know that typing his name around here causes more of a reaction than Voldemort's, but if I could plug anyone in the middle -- properly in the middle, where Madrid had him playing so many games -- it might be Isco at the moment.

Different player than Pogba of course, but there's lots of different ways to approach the CM task, and none of them are particularly wrong if you do them well.

agree with a few here, that while pogba would be an unbelievable signing , with yaya staying and seemingly motivated too, we may end up having kdb as our last signing

I only mean in terms of Centre Midfield.

Txiki's done great to get Sterling, Delph and Roberts, but what's he doing now it's becoming increasingly obvious we desperately need a new CM?

Our options are so thin on the ground it's ridiculous. We need a CM as a priority and we're linked with nobody!

We don't have to register Bruno until the end of the month so we have him available. Assuming he is healthy a midfield 3 of Yaya, Fernando, and Nasri (4-3-3) with Bruno and Garcia on the bench is not to bad to me. I expect Dinho will be back for Chelsea on the bench. From there we are ok (assuming we do indeed sign a CM before the window closes)

Would honestly love for Bruno to get a chance and fulfil his potential. Really impressed me every time I've seen him and his passing range is ridiculously good!

He's certainly a different option. His long passing alone is frightening for a young kid!

The problem is, Isco isn't a CM, we need steel to compliment the flair in the side

Why not sign Otamendi and push Kompany up into a DM role.

Then we can play -

............................Kompany........................

................Fernandinho..............Yaya.............

Sterling................................................Silva

............................Aguero..........................

That midfield makes us very difficult to beat, full of height and presence and all technically gifted
Great shout......I think we have the fire power I would like us to a bit nastier and meaner. Vidal would have been my choice and VK and Hummels at CB

That's what ojeme and I are saying: Isco was an attacking midfielder, Madrid played him as a central midfielder due to a glut of attacking midfielders, Isco excelled in the position. If he's open to it full-time, he was outstanding getting the ball from the backline and moving it up to the attackers in the final third.
