I suggested this to the club years ago and when I put the idea forward for points, days of sale etc. back in '96. Every season I keep writing to them but the idea is pooh-pooh'd!

Went to Leicester, County replay's, Villa and Reading but had to watch Semi and Final at the City Square as my reward for attending those games.

I know some who went to every round, home and away then couldn't have tickets for the semi, yet people sat near me who never go to a cup game got tickets for the fucking final, it's not on

You are partially right, on a lot of games I agree with you but the Madrid game is different. Flights were going up on an hourly basis, spikes trip was filling very quickly , had people waited till their points kicked in yes they would have got a ticket and the points but the travel could have trebled in price, hence they use someone's card.

One thing that everyone misses in this "loyalty" debate is that during the season we are now playing basically every three or four days (international breaks excepted), and for anyone who works, its nigh on impossible to get to every game.

I work shifts, and I also live a long distance from all our home games, but I do most, even in the cups (I haven't missed a european home game since we got back in). I can't nip out of work 1/2 an hour early to get to the etihad for night games either, for every game I have to have a day off work. If I was local I'd do a lot more games than I do, but I won't be at the Villa game its just not possible.

So for the commitment I make for each home game I attend, (cup or league) I don't think its unfair I get to see us in the odd cup final (and the last time I checked we had only had 1 final in the last 36 years).

My points are over 7000, and virtually all of them were earned in person.
