fookin hell!!
lets be realistic here, yes, people sell tickets on to mates, or advertise spares here, but to say thats widespread now is a bit off the mark...
interesting that since we became a decent team the demand for away days has jumped and people moan about not getting tickets. to me thats tough titty because where were they when we were a mid table team? I remember not that many years ago we only took 1200 or so to Birmingham first away game of the season and plenty others that we couldnt be arsed selling out... where was the whinging about the points system then?
Most aways last season sold out at low-ish points so lots of opportunities to get to the games. You cant expect United away tickets after only doing a few aways for one season or two... took me 4 seasons of going to 10+ games when we were a mid table team to even qualify for that if I rememeber rightly.
Oh and 7400 points, I sell my tickets on to mates as I'm on hard times at the moment so dont do aways anymore, but perfectly happy to sort mates out with tickets, but went to 40 out of our 54 championship winning games last season. If that makes me a points whore, so be it... no skin off my nose, my 7400 pts were earnt fair and square. Don't really care cause I went when we were shit and only a 1000 or so bothered to turn up. If im honest, the aways were more fun back in those days than they are now.
