The Met has over 30k officers,unfortunately,but obviously,within those ranks are going to be a couple of hundred bad apples......but i can assure you they most certainly don't tolerate any sort of extremism.
As said in my OP,this is the fault of recruitment and their inadequate background checks on this individual - hopefully its an isolated case and the procedures will now be fully re-evaluated to do as much as humanly possible to prevent any such loon evading the system again.

Exactly,its all very sad.

He should try selling some of those clothes on here. I’ve found taking a picture of said item on the duvet helps sell stuff.

I think in reality we're pretty much all on the same one, but I reckon the thread is headed in the usual direction.

To be fair he does sound like an absolute charmer. It’s good that further checks found out he had lied on his application, I do wonder if those checks would have been carried out if he wasn’t facing separate charges of being a pedo. As said above the laws of average say you’ll get one or two bad apples, probably find a few in the NHS as well.
