To be fair he does sound like an absolute charmer. It’s good that further checks found out he had lied on his application, I do wonder if those checks would have been carried out if he wasn’t facing separate charges of being a pedo. As said above the laws of average say you’ll get one or two bad apples, probably find a few in the NHS as well.

You do indeed,but many a dodgy **** does gravitate towards positions of authority/responsibility where vulnerability is easily accessible.
Hence why background checks in such professions have no room for error or a lack of thoroughness.
