I'll let you off then! I think there was a Police single in the shape of a badge but can't think which one it was.No idea. Didn’t buy either! Just made the joke up!
Wasn’t one of them made as a police badge?

Personally I would not disclose it full stop. You cannot be held accountable for someone else’s actions that you had no control over.
Why would you want to jeopardise your career.
If it was ever raised by them in future (highly unlikely ) I would just say, sorry I wasn’t aware of my father’s conviction. I was never told about it.
Nope. Firstly I haven’t seen the application form however I assume it is only to convictions of the applicant. Secondly this conviction is spent under the terms of The Rehabilitations Act. If the applicant is unaware and who is to prove otherwise, it could only be proved as lying if his dad reported it to the police and not to implicate his dad he should say to him they never asked about you.Unlike the old days, certain criminal convictions even by the applicant are no longer a bar to entry let alone those by relatives. Oh and by the way we have all told fibs on an application form or at an interview so no sleep lost there. So concealing facts and lying, perfect set up for a career in law enforcement
Nah I thought most had been bullied at school and joining up would be their only possible chance of revengeI thought being a wrong'un was a mandatory requirement for being a police officer these days.
Of course that. Loads wouldnt know anyway, lots of people keep things fro their kids from their past and that is both normal and natural. Its a moot point anyway. It will come up in vetting in any case. I was just seeking to assure the OP that it wouldnt matter at all. But if ever asked just say he knows, because he does know, as do we, and weve never met the OP but he told us.Personally I would not disclose it full stop.
