Police yesterday

I rarely go to town any more but we went to albert sq sat on the steps near the statue was told to poor my can away (i didn't relise you couldn't drink) went over to the slug and lettice with every on else told us we can drink from cans so got a pint glass from the bar (plod made the bar shut till they got door staff)

So about 10 of us went to some place called the chop house was ok in their but small then moved on to another place called the chop house which was down stairs had a right good laugh in there but they got told to shut at 9

Didn't see what all the fuss was about it was a good day Manchester could of made a fortune that day.

we went in Kro first, no problems getting. but not much singing i was trying to get it going. think everyone was just emotionally drained.
Then onto Northern Quarter, Blu wouldnt let us in too many lads !! i did argue what do they expect, Sunday just won the league ?? Apotheca the same no colours. so went in Trof got bladdered but had to take my scarf off and no singing !!! so just before we left we got everyone singing. was funny there were 3 asian city fans in their, with a middle 50 something white City fan, and they all had him in their phones as DAD !! was pissing myself.

then back to my local and wankered !!!!

oh and for the parade we were in Ape and Apple and the cops shut it down for being to rowdy !!!!!! there was loads of kids in there and no singing, complete opposite of rowdy, just busy !!! they always try and spoil our fun !!!

Landlord at the Circus on Portland Street calling everyone in a City shirt or scarf a 'Blue ****' to a skinny rag stood next to him as they had gone in. I'd already been served and was stood on the steps when I heard him otherwise he could have shoved his beer up his huge sweaty arse the fat red ****.

It's a shame that Manchester and England in general can't get its act together for days like this and allow people to get on with enjoying themselves.

Can you imagine the authrorities in a place like Barcelona telling their fans they can't drink beyond 9pm after they've just won the league? It's laughable really.

I ended up in this bar last night, Dave
With your comment in mind, I tested the water with the enquiry, "Was you busy on Monday night?"

You've not seen anything like it. Guy behind the bar and his fat mates with bald heads frothing at the mouth, we've won it 19 times, shitty City, etc.

I told 'em to calm down before they gave themselves a thrombosis.
My mates, one who's a blue, one is a red found it hilarious. As we left, the red told them: "He's only come in to wind you up and he's managed it".

Happens every time city do well and the rags don't

Same all over greater Manchester, city win on derby day pubs shut, city lose (forgot how that feels) pubs open

Rag fans simply cannot take it but they had better get used to it

Ive had some bad experiences with the police in the past (coming back from the 8-1 at Middlesbrough away on the train springs to mind amongst numerous others) but on Sunday we headed to Shambles after the game, 6 of us walked all the way there from the ground drinking cans of lager and never got stopped once. When we got to Shambles only one pub was open and you had to queue to get in so we carried on drinking our cans sat on the steps facing Sinclairs. A copper came over to us and asked us very politely to go round the back near the cathedral so no cameras could pick us up. We went round the back finished our cans then joined in the party in the square where someone had a replica of the trophy and was letting everyone have their picture taken with it!Most coppers are arseholes but you do get the odd good one!

Castle were OK with us, but didn't want any singing
Moved on to Fringe, OK at first but landlady lost her rag and wanted everyone out for singing - everyone fucked off (fuck her - not going back there)
Crown & Kettle wouldn't let us in
Went to Cord - fantastic, they didn't care about singing, bar staff seemed happy and there was no probs. Stayed a couple of hours there and it was ace.

what actually happened? i went townley after the match and had a good few in there, then we made our way to town to see blues in kro bar locked in (apparently) all the pubs closing and police not letting us walk anywhere near picadilly gardens. cant say im surprised though, kill joys

Second guessing that the raggish GMP would be their usual killjoy self I booked a table in Simple
I've been in there several times over the last few years on match day and always in colours. Last Sunday they wouldn't let us in unless we changed. The kids took off their city shirts but me and the wife wouldn't. When friends arrived they took theirs off too.
When we left at about 9.45 I was amazed that Piccadilly was empty. The KRO bar, our before game haunt, was empty and locked up. Reading this I know why.

The police are real cunts, whenever the scum play there's not a problem, when they win things every bar stays open.

It's a bad state of affairs when the police can shut down a city centre when people are genuinely out having a good time, the bars lost thousands in keeping us at bay, more fool them.
