I used to be a bit more hardline left whereas nowadays I'm a bit more of a hippy about everything. I'm only Stalinesque these days if I'm in a bad mood.

That's quite appropriate as I believe Stalin could be quite grumpy himself when he was in a bad mood.

On the contrary Stalin was a proper prankster. Him and Brezhnev were a right pair of comedians.
