Can't argue with that. The left/right dichotomy is a false and stupid one that over-simplifies political ideology, so I'm glad to be sitting in the middle there. Also, as most others have pointed out, the questions are obviously far too binary, but there is a good mix and they took me back to happier times as a politics & philosophy student.

I reckon if I'd taken the same test as a student I would have been halfway up the authoritarian scale (was big on Hobbes and state theory), so I've made a big shift there. Actually, that's another example of a flaw in this test; the authoritarian/libertarian axis doesn't account for someone like me who wants a strong government/state whose role is to ensure that people are free to live their lives however they want (ie. stops people interfering in and affecting the private lives of other people).
