I honestly don’t believe they do.

No PM wants to be known as the man/woman who lost the Union, it’s why the Scottish vote will be kicked into the long grass for a while too.

Always more than one side to every story. Can you see any logic in looking for an arrangement that lumps business travellers in with musicians? Do business travellers do multi venue tours? I suspect not

I am most certainly not suggesting one side or the other is 'more truthful'

If I had to guess - I would come down on the side of the UK getting it wrong. I am not sure about it being ideology driven though - as you know from my previous posts - I just think that there is a whole lot of incompetence and bad management.

Looks like for reasons that are hard to fathom the government asked for something illogical and probably unreasonable, the musicians are collateral damage
