Political relations between UK-EU

Obviously. Without quantifying value or worth it‘s meaningless.

Before me right now I have a Montblanc pen and two cheap biros. Do I discard the one in favour of the other two? Do I explore keeping the Montblanc and having the other two as well? Is two better than one in this case?

In this scenario, EU countries have the Montblanc and a cheap biro. We chucked the Montblanc away, kept one cheap biro and put in an offer for the other one.
Pathetic as that is - I will go against my instincts and put some more appropriate context of the here and now to it - this scenario is more fitting I think:

There is this fella down the pub and every time me and my mates walk in - he bangs on about this fucking posh pen he used to have - Mont Blanc I think he calls it. Anyway - he goes on and on about how good it was - proper quality apparently, but others look on in sadness at his bleating.

The thing is - they know that:

a) he does not have it any more and he will never be able to get another one and therefore all he is doing is boring the shit out of everyone and

b) he has a shit memory anyway - so many others knew it was a shit pen. In reality he just fantasises about the fucking thing and forgets how it was way over-priced and that there are far better and more reliable models available nowadays. In fact the reviews were so bad that people got together and decided to remove it as an option.

But fuck - you know that he is still going to go on about it, as he sits in a a corner talking to a reducing number of tolerant mates. Best to just smile and put up with it - at least he supports a proper team, although it is hard to get him to speak about football due to his obsession with that fucking pen

But - FFS, whatever you do, don't let him hear you mention some other brand of pen - you will only set him off again............

I block MB so I am now intrigued by the last two replies, are they to the same post or different posts I ask myself. Do I have too much time on my hands? The answer is clearly, yes.
I only block WUMs who purposefully only send abuse.

I don’t know why people block those over mere disagreements.

There’s 5 members of Corbyn’s gang that block me on this forum, all because they want an echo chamber.

With respect - have you not previously spotted that this fellas posts are in the main only reflecting his hatred of all things Tory.

Even in the post that you are replying to he set out this utter nonsense:

"Once again the UK Tories renege on an agreement that they were signed up to and fully aware of."

Just WTF is that statement saying - why is he making it other than to pour out his bile?

He seems to be saying here that the original treaty of Rome clearly set out the intentions to achieve full integration across Europe and therefore we knew what we were signing up to and therefore taking the UK out of the EU is reneging on that Treaty? Is that what he is saying?

Welllll

Being in the EEC was a decision by the UK electorate through a referendum - during which the Tory party championed being in

Leaving the EU was a decision by the UK electorate through a referendum - during which the Tory party championed Remaining
It is the most successful political lie ever told.

"Tories are anti EU and if you are too then you are a Tory"

Who took is in? Tories

Who campaigned to keep is in? Tories. Mrs Thatcher even wore a rather fetching jumper depicting all the European flags.

Who helped orchestrate the Maastricht treaty? Tories

Who joined us up to the ERM as a precursor to joining the euro? Tories.

Who campaigned to keep is in for a second time? Tories

Who did the deal with the hated backstop effectively keeping us in but hoping the thick northern racists wouldn't notice until it was too late? Tories.

Until recently when labour became a right wing neo liberal party of the boardroom and banks the labour party campaigned vociferously against the EEC/EU.

But yeah, if you wanted out you must be a Tory.
(And they have the cheek to call leavers thick)

Doesn’t really surprise me mate, blocking what you don’t like is as clearly your MO as you’ve spent the last 4.5 years of your life with your fingers in your ears going “la la la” pretending none of this happened ;)

It is Metal Biker, I forgot half the posters on here are MB’s of some form or other, and was done on the grounds of excessive posting of disturbing gifs, one in particular I did not need to see over my Sunday morning cuppa.

Metal Biker remains the one and only poster I have ever blocked, and once blocked shall forever remain blocked. My morning cuppa is sacrosanct.

While acknowledging that on the face of it this is good news it probably doesn’t help the fishermen whose livelihoods are threatened. Still you got some likes for laughing at them
Laughing at the fishermen? Where did you get that from?

I'm laughing at those on this thread who have a sudden concern FOR the fishermen, having disregarded their argument for the past 5 years but are now championing their issues because its being spun as a negative brexit story. Or are you also a convert of the CFP again?

For me it was gifs, and how do you know who blocks you? I say this because I now want to know if anyone blocks me.

I really need to get a life :)

And the positive news just keeps on coming.

But... the fish or something...
I looked into the shellfish issues this morning

I is very clearly another example of what will be an increasingly long list of issues that could have been either mitigated or avoided if only the government between 2016-2019 had not stop preparations for the UK to leave the EU, including SM and CU being undertaken

Leavers and Remainers have a lot to hold that government to account for

To be fair, it’s really not a successful lie. I don’t know a single person that thinks all conservatives supported leave or have even seen that suggested tbh.

Were you on the previous thread much? Allow me to introduce you to candidate #1, Mr IfIonlyhada...
