I think the right wing papers when they say "It's because of Brexit" are spinning it to make the consequences of Brexit sound like the fault of the EU.
 
They are going for No Deal and setting up the EU to take the blame. British exceptionalism bringing faux indignation when the EU plays us back at our own game and takes ratification up to the wire

The Express is a sad pathetic rag targeted at ignorant, foreigner hating, Trump loving, little Englanders who don’t have the mental acuity to recognise that many difficulties being experienced by large numbers of the population are the consequences of their actions in voting for the shit show that is Brexit. They are happy to be spoon fed lies by the Express, Farage and government ministers because what they say resonates with their world view of English exceptionalism. Sadly there’s fucking millions of them in this country.

They still don't get it. How would abandoning this deal help the shellfish exporters? And if they think the UK fishing industry could catch and sell what EU boats catch in "our" waters they still are truly deluded. (Catch all that herring and land it in the UK and it still has to be exported to the EU... )

Its just more lies - talk a lot and there is so much smoke across the battlefield no-one can see clearly what is going on
