Political relations between UK-EU

Looks like the Eu are finally closing the door on the UK and will now exclude us from the Lugano Convention

Once again the UK expecting the benefits of membership without paying their subs.

Yeah, this decision is causing angst judging by the reaction. Our experience as a third country - lop sided trade deal, can't even trade within our own borders without EU sign off, is not proving to be a happy one.

"Like going back to the war". Cheese exporter on having to get vets to (literally) rubber stamp certificates. "Who on earth still uses rubber stamps?"

But it's good for the economy... GDP boosted by extra work for vets and firms taking on extra staff for the paperwork. Just the profitability problem (and then laying off staff when the exports drop).

if only we had the vets......

another Brexit bonus.....not......

How dare all those individual EU countries make individual sovereign decisions about such a matter?

(He probably won't vote in the local elections but I did canvass a guy who supported the Tories in the GE, over Brexit. I asked him how whether he thought it was going well. "Fuck, no." Unfortunately, there are still plenty who don't see it yet, or blame everything on the EU for treating us as a sovereign independent coastal state, which is what they voted for. I'd getting quite good at raising a quizzical eyebrow - even over the phone...)

but they can't can they? We all know its a bullying bloc which prevents member states from making their own decisions don't they?

wall to wall winning - someone ought to remind Johnson over 250 service personnel gave their lives to liberate the Falklands and he has washed his hands of them. ****.

Another "We're getting what we voted for" shock....

You have to laugh at how the Express pitch it as the EU being mean to us out of spite, and therefore providing further justification for us leaving. Anyone would think we need convincing that it was a good idea.
