Political relations between UK-EU

If the best you can come up with is that you know some of the people who have so far made correct predictions and you think they're guessing about the future you'll have to excuse me if I'm more than a little sceptical about these potential long term benefits.

It would appear that the best we can do long term is spend loads of time and money trying to get back to somewhere near where we were before Brexit. Meanwhile global Britain might deliver about 0.1% to our GDP to offset the 4% lost over the next 15 years, which can hopefully be mitigated to just a couple of percent when we back down from our red lines.

You are citing opinion as fact.

Are they not? I’m a McCoys man myself. Flame steak flavour.

The shortage is down to Walkers updating its IT system, which came with some hiccups. The company has said the problems have now been fixed, but they have caused its factories to run well below full produ

I was referring to the 400bps off GDP. It’s the current opinion of economists/analysts.
I think you’re being a little pedantic. It’s impossible to state as fact what the effect will be in 15 years. The best we can do is use predictions from people who’ve got it right so far.

Maybe mate. What have they got right on the economy so far this year? Start of year: the annual survey of best part of 100 economists in FT were predicting;

> UK to grow slower than peers (G7) at 6% - the IMF has UK top of real GDP growth in 2021 at 6.8%… so they not only got UK wrong, they got everyone’s growth wrong

> UK unemployment to grow to 7% - wrong (thankfully). NI levels are slightly up this year if that’s any consolation.

> Business investment to decline by 10% this year compared to last due to Brexit - wrong.

> UK economy not recovering to pre-COVID levels until end 2022 start 2023. They still have a dog in the fight on this one, we’ve lagged some other countries here being 2.1% below still but we’re not even done with 2021 yet let alone most of 2022.

That’s pretty much all the big ticket items all wrong or about to be wrong.

I read that Bruce Dickinson piece on his views.
Compared Brexit to switching from a PC to a Mac.
