Political relations between UK-EU

Every word was a total lie and listen to the audience clapping furiously. Heartbreaking. Loons like this destroyed the country by hoodwinking the gullible with sound bite bullshit like this.
Unfortunately it’s the side you are portraying to the rest of the world too.
It’s what we see and what we see in your government. I’ve been to The UK often enough and have met plenty of really awesome people, but I’ve met some loons too or maybe not loons, but those that you just know would easily be taken in by this shit.

The UK comes across as totally untrustworthy at the moment.

It’s a bad look.

Back to the “it will take decades to know whether Brexit will be a success”. At least no one is pretending it’s a success in the short term, and by decades they mean when no one quite remembers why we did it and most of the negatives have been negotiated away with a closer relationship with our neighbours.

Also, a timely reminder that a slew of deferred trade barriers and admin costs come into force on New Years Eve.

Enjoy all that lovely new red tape :)

While it is standard practice to call all red tape ‘EU imposed’, especially in this case when it is deferred UK border controls being introduced, I was surprised by the amount of comments pointing out that the article was false and the stupidity of imposing this on ourselves.

Indeed. I trawled down far enough to see this comment:

The UK is a like a man who had a company car with his job, but then quits to go to another job that doesn't provide him with a vehicle. He's now blaming his previous employer for not letting him keep the use of his old company car.

To further the analogy that was made at the time ( though that was more often quitting gym membership and bemoaning the fact that we can no longer use the pool ) - I left a job in 2017 - I could have kept using the company car....... I would have had to buy it at top dollar off the leasing firm though. No free dinner for me.

Brexiteers - thick as fucking mince - too old and stubborn to admit they are wrong - too racist to back down - they fit into one or all of those boxes. Told my kids hang on a few years as so many will die off they can then start a movement to rejoin
