To be fair, I’ve felt since 2016 the EU have been sat quietly, looking at us like we’re absolutely insane, and we are flapping like idiots, whilst they ask us if we are ok.

But the first time since, the shoe seems to be on the other foot.

And sections of this country who have been very quiet for a long time are falling over themselves to use an EU fuck up as vindication for our own stupid decision, when in reality it is happening because of our stupid decision.

The whole thing is a mess and a sad indictment of England’s current relationships with everybody around us.

Yeah, the UK Govt is doing the sensible thing and keeping its head down, whereas the EU are having a full on melt which is helping absolutely no one.

Irrespective of the contracts, if AZ don‘t have the vaccines they promised then no amount of screaming is going to magic them into existence.

The EU are going to have to beef up production and accept there will be a few weeks delay in getting it done. Better to get on with doing that rather than all these hysterics.

Absolutely Bob.. I'm astounded by the sense in our response. I was sure Boris would start sword waving. I'm not a fan of this government, but they've done well with vaccinations. They must know the EU is only hurting itself by its antics and doesn't need any spin from our side.

I disagree with that completely, it’s happening because of the EUs total and utter ineptness on the vaccines and bureaucracy.

The interesting thing is the Irish government haven’t criticised the UK at all, they’ve gone straight after the EU.

They’ve moved to derail the GFA over a contract dispute with a company, they’ve only just approved product from, in the space of 6 hours.

It’s absolute insanity on their part and the most out of character thing I’ve ever seen them do.

Our government have done fuck all wrong for once.

I need to sit down.

Not really, it’s been my view all along. I just wasn’t getting emotional over it.

I said at eight this evening the Article 16 move wouldn’t last the night because it was totally dumb. That’s all that needed to be said, instead we had posts fapping about hard borders, paramilitary groups, and hysterical ranting about the evils of the EU.

It‘s frankly embarrassing the amount of bollocks that gets trotted out. Teenage girls at a One Direction concert show more self control.
