Why cant the posters causing the thread to get pulled just be banned from the thread instead of the whole thing getting taken down ?

I haven't been in the brexit thread for weeks as it nevr changes and always decends into tribalism on either side.

What it did do is keep a lot of the brexit bollocks out of other political threads and so I could get away from it.

So it was handy, let is stay and let the loons have at it without disturbing the rest of us

In the absence of the brexit thread is there another thread I can visit that's constantly kicking off? It's like a matchday thread but it lasts forever (until it gets pulled). The brexit thread needs to aspire to the level of debate found in the muffin/barm thread, where despite similarly polarised views things seem to remain civil at least.

Most likely because of a tit for tat over terrorist sympathising. One poster decided that remainers were sympathising because they were concerned with what could happen in NI as a result of no deal.

Another poster thought this was out of order following on from the IRA bomb/MEN arena atrocities.

Emotions were running high on both sides. It's not a surprise to me that it was pulled.

It's the same few posters posting the same thing repeatedly. No one listens to anything there and just get more and more irate as their points are ignored.

I'd bin it off altogether. It gets no one anywhere apart from frustrated/angry.

Maybe have threads when something actually happens.
Yes.
I got up as far as that and it did start to get very personal as strong views were expressed both sides.
Must admit I could see both sides as there were valid reasons for the views expressed but emotions overtook the situation.
Then missed what tipped it in the end.

It is sad. You all have to live with this together in the end, whatever happens.

Life goes on. And it’s short.

I’m going to give that fancying your best mate thread a whirl. It had some legs in it but fizzled off.

It wasn’t me . I was not on it last night. But when I was in the afternoon it was getting a bit heated about Northern Ireland.

I had a feeling ...

There were a couple of reported posts last night so one of the mods moved it. Looks like things were getting out of hand, again. I’ve just gone on holiday with the family and can’t face spending every day of it dealing with the same old shit, so doubt it will be put back any time soon. Enjoy the break from it.

Whilst Brexit can cause some heated debates it’s mainly on forums like this - most people still go about there day as normal as more bothered about fantasy football and what pub to go to weekend.
I work for a big company in the city and no one bothers talking about it in the office.
