Why cant the posters causing the thread to get pulled just be banned from the thread instead of the whole thing getting taken down ?
Yes.Most likely because of a tit for tat over terrorist sympathising. One poster decided that remainers were sympathising because they were concerned with what could happen in NI as a result of no deal.
Another poster thought this was out of order following on from the IRA bomb/MEN arena atrocities.
Emotions were running high on both sides. It's not a surprise to me that it was pulled.
It's the same few posters posting the same thing repeatedly. No one listens to anything there and just get more and more irate as their points are ignored.
I'd bin it off altogether. It gets no one anywhere apart from frustrated/angry.
Maybe have threads when something actually happens.
In the absence of the brexit thread is there another thread I can visit that's constantly kicking off? It's like a matchday thread but it lasts forever (until it gets pulled). The brexit thread needs to aspire to the level of debate found in the muffin/barm thread, where despite similarly polarised views things seem to remain civil at least.
I'm presently trying to cause the mods a headache by being dogmatic in the muffin/barm thread.I’m going to give that fancying your best mate thread a whirl. It had some legs in it but fizzled off.
Yes.
I got up as far as that and it did start to get very personal as strong views were expressed both sides.
Must admit I could see both sides as there were valid reasons for the views expressed but emotions overtook the situation.
Then missed what tipped it in the end.
It is sad. You all have to live with this together in the end, whatever happens.
Life goes on. And it’s short.
Well most threads on the main forum seem to morph into tickets/points/loyalty arguments after a couple of pages. You could always toss Brexit in as a detonator. In the absence of the brexit thread is there another thread I can visit that's constantly kicking off?
