I'd like to think they fell in with a bad crowd, but I fear and suspect they didn't.

Question - I'm interested in seeing what posters thought was City's intention in their short involvement in the ESL. Ignore the option with just 'N'. Can't seem to delete it.
I wanted option N, why can't I have it, you're my representative and yet you are denying me my legal right to chose. I feel I am being forced into something I don't want

When we have a place on the board and can put the rags , dippers and all the other cunts who have conspired against us up against the wall of a firing squad , it will all be a wothwhile tense few days.

Mr Gill, would you kindly step up please ?

I don’t think it’s fanciful to suggest we knew about this plot some time ago, albeit looking from the outside in “people talk in football” remember those words ? and when the opportunity to look in Pandora’s box came along we took it, I’m almost certain we where in cahoots with UEFA from the off (given Ceferins statement) and possibly responsible for leaking the plans on Sunday, given we had briefed certain press yesterday lunchtime indicates events had been orchestrated. Chelsea panicked when we disclosed that we where pulling out & set the ball rolling for their withdrawal, a kind of heads up if you like. When you add all that to the statement published on our website, which nobody at the club would put their name too & the rapid condemnation from Pep, I’m pretty certain we have taken the opportunity to wipe the floor with the Americans & G14 clubs, somewhat opportunistically, but you can’t look a gift horse, fwiw I wouldn’t of trusted any other Club/owner to pull off what has transpired in these last few days

It was an ill-judged cock-up in my opinion. We've spent a decade plus trying to catch up financially and on the playing field with our rivals and have got over UEFA's continued meddling at CAS. Then this new idea comes up and we'll have thought, quite rightly in many ways, that we'd be left behind again and we'd better jump on board with it and see what it becomes.

However, the actual result is that we've become what we've always hated. I don't think the club really had much choice on this. How would we have felt if it did take off and we weren't part of it? I'm hugely disappointed in City for being so hypocritical - we should have avoided becoming what we all have bemoaned and hated - but would I have been expressing disbelief and anger at the club if they hadn't joined it and it did take off? Quite probably! Because we're all a fickle bunch at the end of the day.

Whilst the other clubs took off with huge investment and won everything, would I be sat there saying the same argument about how we have the moral high ground and it isn't a proper competition? If those other clubs were winning it then the facts soon get forgotten. Liverpool's success is all because they're such a historic institution that no other football fans would ever know. The fact they got some money, secured promotion and then bought the best talent around to gain that success is forgotten now.

To draw out unattributed fiction from Karveh Solhekol of SSN.

My senior exec sauce told me ...

"This isn't a civil war, this is nuclear war!"
"What colour strip are my team playing in?"

@Prestwich_Blue ,what i would like to know is

Months ago you mentioned "our revenge " not in those exact words but i hope you know what i mean

What happened over the last few days do you suspect we might of had a "hand" in the outcome and fallout results
