Poor opposition?

I thought it was one of best performances of the season. Apart from one save at the end we completely bossed the game. With a better final ball we could have had a few more.
We have had our bad spell and now we will start to see the strength of the squad really show.

Villa were crap...........only wanted to play in last ten, so what a joke for commentators saying we hung on............wonder save from Hart?

He does it weeek in week out, hes the best in the world, that is why he plays for us

Well said mate.

Something that we rarely get applauded for is our incredible workrate when the opposition have the ball. That's the main reason Villa didn't create anything.

bloody hell guys time to take the blue tinted specs off for a moment.

we have been poor away from home for a good few months now. at Wigan we didnt play brilliantly, and only really created the chance when Dzeko and Aguero got in each others way. today, we had plenty of the ball, played some nice passes but we never really carved them open or created any real meaningful chances. Both games were won from set pieces.

These wins, are vital, winning away from home when your not at your absolute best is essential. But we were shite at sunderland, west brom & everton. and the performances at villa & wigan were not great, had it not been for our keeper we wouldnt have left either game with 3 points.

the win today was made alot easier by the fact villa were poor. they looked like they lacked passion, bottle and belief. not every game will be made this easy. the fact is, you wouldnt see the shite dominate a game like we did today with possession n not create good chances. since the 6-1, our league performances away from home have not been good. when we come up against Arsenal, Swansea & Stoke, who will all have a go at us in one way or another, we are going to have to improve significantly from the way weve played away from home in the league in the last 3 -4 months.

Are you just waking up to see the sky agenda?

If they give credit then the armchairs will stop supporting the rags which means subscriptions down, stop thinking otherwise or you are stupid.

-- Sun Feb 12, 2012 9:56 pm --

Matt d are you sure we haven't been poor last couple of months because our best players keep getting unjust suspensions and the yaya is in Africa?

We are back to full strength next few weeks so let's see.
