Port Vale (H) - FA Cup 3rd Round Post Match Thread

Comfortable win in the end. Superb from Foden, great to see him starting games. People in the match day thread slating Bravo for their goal which was unfair but par for the course.
Utd & Wolves drew so that's another game for them during our 2 legged semi-final which is further good news.
A satisfactory Saturday evening.

Comfortable. Could easily have been double figures. Good to see so many of the young lads get some playing time and good to see Stones back. I hope he gets a good, long injury free run now.

Foden is real quality.
Stones is far too casual and not good enough imo. He nearly cost us a goal with a shit pass. After this season I can see Pep possibly trying to get rid.

Professional display and just how fucking good is Foden?

I could watch the lad all day long.

Game only spoilt by VAR which is a shame but par for the course these days.
On the VAR point mate, I thought it summed up how bent they are and how much they are desperate for the system to be deemed a failure on the Stones goal - soon as he freezes frame it’s blatantly obvious he’s onside yet chooses to spend 2 minutes drawing nonsense lines before declaring its a goal. Absolutely fucking pointless.

This off the Vale forum. Fair play to them:

“Brilliant effort, Feared the worst when I saw their starting 11 so would have taken 4-1 all day long

Foden is class act and I'm so glad he's English as he's going to be a massive player for club and country in the coming years. By far the best player on the pitch. He also really went out of his way after the game to pat all of our lads on the back too with a big smile on his face.”

Good performance. Nice to see our youngsters performing well. Some lovely close control and neat passing. Gundagon was great in the middle of the park.
