Strange one. If it had ended 3-3, the referee would probably have been lauded for not booking anyone, but he seemed intent to let off the ball challenges go unpunished, and booked Rodri for doing what two Porto players had already done. That said, age and the armband worked as charms for Fernandinho, as he had multiple fouls that would have seen yellow back here. Some group winner is quids in if they draw Porto.

I think we all know who that will be then.

Shit TV coverage. Took about 2 minutes to realise the goal was disallowed. Why didn’t the commentators not even realise? Are they even there or just commentating sat in a studio seeing the pictures that we see?

Unlucky game...but it wasn't only luck. Players did their best, very agressive, a lot of running, wetting their shirts, but still nervous. And when you're nervous you're less able to get the best timing or make the proper final touch in order to concretize. This issue should be focused on and worked out in the locker rooms.
