Porto (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

Positives:

We win the group (not sure how much that benefits us)

Another clean sheet

Minutes in the legs for players on the edges of the first team

DeBruyne, Walker rwsyed

Negatives:

Thw ref was atrocious and fell for all of their play acting yet managed to blow every time we breathed near a Porto player

We didn’t score our sitters (what’s new)

That was sterling “playing for his place”

I love him but I’m starting to get concerned about Bernardo :(

Job done. No complaints BUT Sterling is not doing it for me anymore. Gone 6 now without a goal. Often loses the ball. Runs into blind alleys. Just not good enough. He may give his all but he has to score and regularly. Id take 80mill for him now and buy a top goalscorer.

He rested main players and came up against a cheating 10 man defence. Did you see Saturdays game? Not checked your past comments but that is a very odd/suspicious thing to post as a city fan

Fair do's but don't you think our play and energy has been better since he said that? I do. And it doesn't matter that it was Burnley, we mullered them and looked more like the old City. I thought we were good tonight with a mostly 2nd XI against that lot, that keeper and that referee. We need a new sticker for sure though but we aren't getting one this season - or at least our main one fit - which doesn't look like it's happening either

No i don't we are not clinical enough. Yes we are missing Aguero, but, with the quality we have we should be getting a better return regardless.

22 attempts v Spuds = no goals
18 attempts v Olympiacos = 1 goal
18 attempts v Porto = no goals

Not good enough.

He does this every season.

He’s flat for a few weeks and then plays like the best player in Europe for a few weeks.

It’s worth it anyway imo to have that talent on the pitch, even for the odd flat period.

OK. But I thinks it's coming. You can tell we are quicker than a few weeks ago. A lot of those attempts are shots blocked by a 10 man defence. We'll see.
