Positive BBC thread

I don’t hate the BBC, I just think they’re cunts.

It’s the BBC who hate City.

And Bert like fans of other clubs probably think the same about the BBC and their team. Outside of a few rags in the football writing department nobody cares about these trivial things.

I'm positive these were wrong one's Jimmy Savile, rolf harris,Stuart Hall, Dave Lee Travis........

They do a good job of providing a mainstream platform for promoting niche sexual fetishists such as transvestites and cross-dressers.

Speaking specifically about their TV output. It'd be interesting to know what their goals are.

I assume it's basically to try and make everyone happy... Which is extremely difficult to do in a era where you can view something like YouTube that will suggest things out of a catalogue of tens of thousands of videos you'll probably going to like.

I am surprised that traditional TV services like iPlayer, ITVX etc can't do suggestions yet to be honest.

As a broadcasting channel, they’ve been the pinnacle of the game since TV begun really.

At the moment, they need to adapt to the modern way of how content is watched.

The radio output is still second to none, but decisions need to be made about how they adapt to streaming.

Good call. I meant to add the Archive is fascinating way to spend some time for folk of a certain vintage too.

I forgot about archive too.

Some fantastic history on there.

They produced the greatest drama series ever - Burn It

The iPlayer is decent with plenty of good stuff.

Their coverage of Glastonbury is decent

Radio 2 is still listenable

They produced the second greatest drama series ever - Our Friends In The North

And, tonight, that Paddy McGuiness show they had on featuring his bike ride for Children in Need was fantastic - made me emotional

They employ Simon Stone and use license payers money to send the **** everywhere to watch that shower of shite.

Absolutely zero positives about that institution, needs shutting the fuck down.

The hiding of Saville's abuse is unforgiveable
You’re off topic mate.
Wrong thread for you.
