They've done some good documentaries about Tommy Robinson.

You prefer Tommy Robinson fan fiction ?
No i don’t.
You are one boring poster fuck me!
Have you ever been on any other forum, how about try the football one - pep’s signed a new contract, go on and post something nice and have a bit of friendly banter- it may make you smile.
You may even make another member smile (but i highly doubt it)
I only notice your name in off topic as you spend your life on the Politics thread - have you even mentioned football since you’ve been on here?
You are always in the Off Topic thread arguing with people.
Don’t try and derail a thread by mentioning Tommy Robinson (not for the first time)

Enjoy you evening commenting about Labour, Donald Trump, Far right, Nigel Farage, Reform etc….

This is a positive thread about the BBC. A bit rich complaining about things being off topic.

I love the BBC.
I am a regular listener to BBC Sounds; a regular user of BBC Bitesize education services; and have watched a succession of great dramas, from Happy Valley, to Line of Duty, Killing Eve and Peaky Blinders, to name but a few over the last years. The castigation that it received from the last government was despicable, and only served an agenda to rile those who believe that a sandwich filling can be woke. Long may it continue.

The 'What's Funny About' radio 4 podcast is great. They interview writers and cast members of a different programme and talk about how it was made and such.

I've recently listened to the Vicar of Dibly and Thick of It episodes, very much enjoyed both.

Shite.
When I saw the title, I thought it’d been closed down !

Not a fan of the BBC. Very inconsistent quality, particularly in respect of 'comedy' shows. As the national broadcaster, it should never have lost live coverage of international sporting competitions.
It's a third rate service compared to 40 years ago. Put it out of It's misery.

They have an annual estimated income of £5.5 billion and people think it's good value because they made Vicar Of Dibley once, we hear constantly that the left and right are unhappy with their political bias but yet the left constantly defend it in their droves.

End it, end it now :)

The BBC sometimes get things right and sometimes get things wrong, show me any business that doesn't (okay scum fc are just plain wrong so they don't count)

A huge stain on their supposed values with Savile and his ilk that should never be forgotten.

Then they go and produce stunning programmes Asia - the current Attenborough instant classic - was superb on Sunday.

Then you get Mrs Browns Boys - they really do sublime to ridiculous on a truly epic scale.

Last night was superb though - that **** Clarkson being made to look an even bigger **** by Victoria Derbyshire on the news.

Natures Viagra at the time.

Didn't she end up marrying the less twatty one from masterchef? think they do a saturday cooking show that has hostage video vibes but it's not entirely clear who wants to bury who under the patio.

On topic. Is the BBC perfect? No. Is it better than large swathes of the shite out there. imo Yes. When I look at some of the political figures who'd like to see it gone, it tells me all I need to know.

She won the 2010 sleb version before going on to fillet John Torode's Kipper for a few years.

Apologies for veering off topic but ITVX must be the absolute worst for adverts. Makes YouTube look like they hardly bother with them.

I very rarely watch any ‘live’ non sport TV. But the kids wanted to watch a film the other day and I fired it up on ITVX just because it was the first suggestion.

My God, a 90 minute film must have lasted the best part of three hours.
I tried to watch something on ITVX once, never again, most of the "on-demand" channels are the same.

Would you be happy with a substantial increase in the licence fee to allow the BBC to bid for coverage of international sporting competitions ?

Whatever you do or don't think of the BBC, people probably undervalue it - I think there's been a couple of studies where people who say they don't like it/want to pay for it agree to be completely cut off from it. In one of them I think within 10 days two thirds had changed their minds; the other study was similar I think.
