I was just generalizing on the vibe I get from the thread. Maybe "no perspective allowed" was the wrong choice of phrase but I was basically agreeing with what marcus was saying about the negativity of the thread. Obviously nobody is in any doubt(or shouldn't be) about how serious this virus is and continues to be so I dont expect the thread to be all fun and games, but there has been a comment wishing people dead if they dont follow the rules at christmas, somebody threatening lockdowns until 2025, people questioning the vaccines despite all the good news we've had, that's just this week. It's been a terrible year and every death is tragic, but it's not a matter of "cases going up, we're all fucked" maybe nobody has said that as such(not going back over thousands of pages...) but that's the feeling you get from reading the thread, and I dont think it helps anybody.

I stopped posting regularly in there because it was not doing my mental health any good. I only posted what I did because I didn't expect to get challenged in this thread...

All views (within reason, of course) are allowed in there, and nobody should be deterred from posting in the thread if they wish to contribute.

Apologies if you felt I was challenging you in this thread, just find it frustrating when people complain without flagging it with us first. If any posts/posters cross a line then please report them for us to deal with.
 
On youtube just now watching the Scaffold sing Lily the Pink. Not heard the original in years but maybe with the new vaccine we've finally got the "medicinal compound" now. Let's hope it will be "efficacious in every way."

(Oh, and when i posted the glad news yesterday about Marianne Faithful getting better from the virus I knew some buggers on here would have to bring up Mars bars -- leave the poor lass alone!)

You know who they are. 4 or 5 shout down any opinions that dont agree with theirs. Weve lost some decent, well
Informed posters who offered a different way of looking at it who eventually just gave up.

its a forum , and its about opinions and no ones done anything wrong but they make it bloody hard work and its 100% not the place to go if youre feeling down about this shit show.
 
That will be the key won't it.
Get the vulnerable vaccinated (and fingers crossed these do get approval rather quickly).
This should soon see some kind of back to normality lift off as we wrestle 2021, bloodied and bruised but with an inner strength garnered from this utter shit showTM.
