About sums it up. Sorry but Pellegrini has been with the team under a month and people suddenly think we are going to turn into Barcelona...? It will take at least a full pre season and the opening 4-5 weeks, before players are totally up to speed.

LMAOOO it never fails. Dzeko scores the winner and puts in another spectacular effort with some wonderful control (only saved by the keepers brilliance), PLUS he works eeally well with Negredo, and he STILL gets hate. Seriously, if anyone thinks Dzeko didn't work for the team today, you are a stone cold hater and nithing he does will please you.
It's no surprise Negredo and Dzeko work well together because DZeko to play with a second striker, especially one similar to his own style.
What still looked off today is the lack of urgency and not enough chances created. Both Dzeko and Negredo should have had more chances but city really didn't look in a hurry to get the ball to them.
As the commentators noted....they just coasted.....grinded...

Thought it pissed down! Talk before the match that it wouldn't even start. I also think that these matches are an opportunity for individuals to make a mark. Seems James Milner has used it for that and Negredo has some power up front. Be interesting how they go on in the Final v The Mackems. Has Pellers been holding back on Merlin and Agueroooooooooo?
