Post match thread - City v Newcastle

we bought him to bring something different than what we already had, we dont want him adapting, we want him running at defenses and scaring the shit out of them. that what made his name at pool. thats what we paid all the money for.

we dont want a one man team and i dont believe you can ever build a team around raheem, but our tactics dont get the best out of raheem at the mo, but that will change, the guy is still so young - there is lots of time as long as people dont start calling him shit when it really isnt 100% his issue.

I agree we bought him for something different and for the first 4/5 games he offered just that. I think De Bruyne coming in has confused the system a little bit but de Bruyne is clearly going to be a fantastic player for us and when he went left today, for me that's where he has to be. His cross for Aguero was brilliant. His best performance for me was 2nd half v Watford when he played in the middle behind Aguero but that is Silva's best position so it is going to be hard for him to play much there. Perhaps the game against Palace is the one to try that.

All I am saying is he needs to understand that to retain a place in this side, you have to be on your game almost every game.

I still think he will be a good addition though and overall I am still reasonably happy with his contribution to date. I think he will get better but doesn't have to start every game to do that.

Great to have Zaba back taking up where he left off ...... proper team player!
De Bruyne is a diamond and his sublime goal will be overshadowed by Sergio's fantastic 5.
Hope the Navas critics will concede that today at least he's an unsung no nonsense hero.
Otamendi finding his tough tackling way and Mangala made a confident return.
Kolarov must be knackered and needs a deserved rest when Clichy is fit.
The Ferns worked their rocks off today to fill Yaya's role.
Joe making more good saves and delivered a few verbal pastings to the team to sort things out during the first half.
Despite not getting the breaks Sterling has a good work ethic and doesn't hide, we must give him time as his quality is not in doubt.
Good management bringing Bony and Nacho into the mix.
Does anyone celebrate our goals with more passion than Ruben Cousillas .... what a guy!
Happy days blues.

I hope the 2 "fans" sat behind me who left to go to Mary D's after 30 minutes enjoyed their beer ! This was after constantly calling all our players "fucking cunts" for the time they were in the ground.

What a 2nd half performance. Well done Pellers and the boys.

Plenty missed the goal before half time and three of the goals after. Not sure why 15000 plus chose to leave so early too. Some were leaving after 75 mins!

So quick, so devastating I didn't realise fully what had happened until I saw 6- 1 on the scoreboard. I'd enjoyed Sergio's ha trick, loved KdB's goal, thought David was a joy to watch and then gone "wow" as Sergio got his fifth, but I hadn't realised the full enormity of what we'd seen. Superb, but without apparent exertion. Top class. What a player! What a team!

First half we looked like a team of strangers with no game plan, the goal seemed to stir us into life and they all remembered how good they actually are and started playing like it, it's not that the team is mentally week, they just often forget how good they actually are and when they remember other teams better watch out

The match day thread is silly in the extreme. Rags on there pretending to be blues left, right and centre if you ask me. Just have a read.
