Post Match Thread: City vs Southampton

Back on track with this win. Good performance first half but Southampton applied pressure on us in the second.

Glad Silva is back but concerns over injuries and defense still remain.

Three points, onwards and upwards.

our so called defence is still a complete shambles.

3 points at least, thought Saints played well

YaYa been a great player but continues to give the ball away

Bony what can you say?

We seemed to be always second to most balls

Fernando afraid to tackle and when he does normally a stupid foul

Great to see Merlin back, best news in weeks

I agree from above its time for toure to be fazed out, he's been useless and looks overmatched there at times

I'm unsure how or why Toure stayed on over Delph, I can only put it down to Delph coming back from injury. I think it's time for us to faze Toure out of the team. He also needs to stop pulling rank on free kicks, he's bordering on childish selfishness at times with his refusal to pass and his personal desire to score over the teams.

I'd put KDB on all free kicks where a direct shot is needed, been impressed with his recent ones for Belgium too.

Not vintage but 3 points is what matters. Thought De-Bruyne and Kolarov were excellent. Aguerro quiet before he went off. After the last week feels good to win again.

Good first 45 but an abysmal second half for me.

What happened to the players heads in the second half ive no idea but fuck me it was poor.

Delph and Otamendi played well first half and kdB stood out for most of the game.

Yaya is finished at this level and that was as poor a performance from a player like him you will ever see.

Bony as well? No service all game for either Kun or Bony to be honest but wtf is Bony doing out there at times?

3 points is 3 points though and back to the top of the league is all you can ask but make no mistake it wasn't great today.
