No, separate categories. Labour still had a majority among working class voters and the swing was probably UKIP voters going to the Tories. I'm not sure which finger would need to be pulled out of where to get them back. Perhaps when enough of them lose their jobs because of Brexit.

I didn't post the poll mate I just commented on it. Labour have lost support within the working class for years and they need to as I say "Pull their finger out".

Labour got 4% more support from the working class than in 2015. Again, probably from UKIP. The Tories got 12% more but still less than Labour overall. You commented, I looked at the results of the Ipsis Mori poll first.

yep they've been taking working class voters for granted for years and are moving to more student/ wealthier types. they are losing their core vote.

They are champagne socialists, what do we expect? They might sympathize with workers and look to care but they will happily lecture people on certain views on things like immigration. Remember every single MP earns £80k+, even Diane Abbot sends her kids to private school and is Oxford educated.

Corbyn and Mcdonnell have never worked a proper days work in their lives and have lingered in the quango public sector of councils and unions. None of them have any idea what the actual working class experience on a daily basis.

It is easy to be fooled but these aren't your 'down the pits' working class type socialists.

Not many votes down the pits now, for some reason. Oh yes - I remember now!

"Upon leaving school McDonnell held a series of unskilled jobs." Corbyn spent two years on Voluntary Service overseas.

History lesson - it was the working class who demanded MPs be paid. How else could an ordinary working man afford to do it?
