Southampton has become our biggest match of the season.

We prioritised the champions league and picked the wrong team for Liverpool. So got hammered. Then we lost the champions league match anyway.

Not a terrible performance but very toothless. We had 3 chances and missed them all. Our final ball though was routinely dreadful.

If we win Saturday we move on. Drop points and we're stuck in one of our now regular ruts under Pellegrini.

Lack of effort? He clearly wanted it and was still trying towards the end of the game which resulted in him basically handing Sterling a chance on the platter.

Tonight was mainly down to the players not Pellegrini although I've no idea how Navas made it past half-time, he contributed fuck all in an attacking sense for 90 mins. As for the £60m+ spent on two CBs in the last two summers, well I really doubt Denayer could have done any worse than Otamendi and Mangala in the last two games. Very disappointing, we need a big lift and right now Silva is about the only player who can provide it if he's fit.

The only people I see really pissed off are the people who think Juve are shit because they're from Italy and haven't watched them in 20 years. They didn't get to the CL Final for no reason; they're an absolutely quality team and man for man are just as good as us.

1-0 away isn't the worst result in the world.

We were fucking shite. Offered fuck all going forward despite their defence gifting us possession in vital areas and was a shambles in defence.

We could have easily lost that game 5-2 we were that bad.

You go to the top teams in Europe like Juve and concede the chances we did and you will never win. Every game in Europe is the same, teams just slice right through us and that Arse on the sideline does nothing about it.

Liverpool totally outplayed us last weekend and Juve have just taught us another lesson. They taught us how to defend. We played exactly how they wanted us to. All possession and very little chances. They were first to everything.

I got barred from the matchday thread for backing up my 'fantastic ball from DeBruyne' post with 'another great ball from DeBruyne' later which was called 'unacceptable'.

Presumably it was something said 30 mins earlier on the spur of the moment & long forgotten that the person responsible was actually taking offence to & rather than step in then, chose to take action much later as we were getting beat & he/ she was in a bad mood.
