When Silva gets back another key injury will occur. Those hoping we can ride out the storm until a fully fit squad comes along are going to be disappointed.

Never thought we'd get anything out of that game. Going there with half a team was a really tough call

Ridiculous to blame Pellegrini tonight. Saturday maybe

Now got a really difficult game against Southampton. We're up against it now with all these injuries

Whoever is to blame its still shit. We needed a draw at worst and couldn't get it.

I wouldn't fancy us against anyone at the minute. Even Hull.

Without Kompany, all of our CB's
Looks dodgy.

Without silva we are lacking invention.

Our last 3 results have been awful whatever the performances and however many sitters we miss. Sterling being the biggest culprit.

Blaming Toure for this one is just a
Joke (not you) He was one of our better players.

fuck me, all this fucking idiot had to do was, set the team up to play on the counter attack, and he cannot even do that. pathetic !!!!!!

That's what I thought when I saw the line up. Just one mode, attack. We didn't need to allow Uve to play us on the counter, we were the group leaders!!!!???

I got slated on here saying we'd drop a few places in the league due to key injuries a month ago. It turned out I was right. That's us out at the last 16 again. Slate me at will.
Bollocks. We could still get Wolfsburg, Benfica, Zenit or Porto. All beatable and as Harry made out on BT, Sevilla will want a result against Juventus to make the Europa League.

Don't think we were too bad overall, but it's embarrassing how often certain players miss sitters. We have a lack of a cutting edge and regularly have two of the worst finishers I have ever ever seen(Sterling and Navas) occupying 2 of 4 attacking spots (I know 1 didn't start tonight). How we spent £50m on a player who's only real assets appear to be pace and 'he's an outlet/threat on the counter' is beyond me. You know you're in trouble when you think of strengths and his nationality crosses your mind before his technical abilities. I fail to see how he's going to improve given he can't actually cleanly strike a football at 20 years old.

That aside, we are such a confused team. We try and maintain a lot of width, but we only try and cross when the box is packed. We maintain a lot of width yet we don't have the pace in transition to close the gaps when we lose the ball. We maintain a lot of width but we move the ball far too slowly to cause any damage with it. We maintain a lot of width but our full backs totally cancel out our wingers by occupying exactly the same space. There's no threat because the opposition know we never cross the ball.

I just don't understand what we are trying to do half the time. I used to, but I don't anymore.

Great post, thing is half the players and Pelli don't know either.

Trying to put a positive on it, after the first game and probably the third it looked like we wouldn't even qualify.

Sterling has not showed anything when he's been asked to step up since his move spends more time on his heels than his toes.

Our pile of injuries haven't helped and don't look like clearing up anytime soon, as usual our 'b' team (the one which seems to throw away FA Cup ties isn't good enough) yet we seem to have no intention of playing any kids. I'd have had Ambrose on the bench tonight and I'd have had Nacho in the CL squad.....criminal decisions.
