You're probably right, but a striker he isn't at this stage of his carreer, and he offered nothing tonight to help us get a goal, just ran a lot. I've no problem with supporting the lad, but play him in his most effective role, and its not as a number 9 (or 10) at the moment. He'll become a good player for us, if he's played in the right way, that run out tonight won't improve him imho.

I've double posted here mate so will reply in Sterling thread

Apart from Fernandinho, and possibly Hart, Clichy was our best player tonight.
I thought the same, he looked so assured and that left side didn't look weak when Juventus attacked down it. However the lack of bombing foward smashing balls over the bar and walking a hit and hope across the box was upsetting for some.

The weakness today was in between the centre backs and that wasn't a surprise. It's the first time for a while a team hasn't concentrated exposing the left and that says alot!

Sorry guys just finished work and saw the result, can't troll through pages to see if hart is ok or not, what's the diagnosis of joe and city tonight please
Joe Hart lookes like a hamstring strain.
City's diagnosis: lacklustre.

Yup, it was so wide and the whole right side of the goal was wide open. Not his fault, we all know his finishing isn't good, why play him in a striker's position?

Of course it's his fault. I would've backed Otamendi to put that away.

He played where he did because Aguero had to go off.

There's absolutely no excuse for a player like him to miss a chance like that, I'm not having it. It was absolutely shocking.

The fact that we won't finish top doesn't bother me at all. If we have designs on doing anything in this competition then who we play is irrelevant. the good sides will have to be faced at some stage anyway. It's the clueless buffoon in charge that drives me mad. if this game was the priority then Kun should have stayed on. The tactics and coaching must be worked out on a fag box because there doesn't appear to be any. No movement up front at all. I know yaya get's a lot of stick but I lost count of the amount of times he looked for movement ahead to thread a ball through only to find there was no runner. Sagna, I'm sorry I'd rather platy zabba even with his defensive vunerability at least he's a threat and overlaps so much better with Navas. Reckon Pellers is on thin ice now and rightly so, the slide is not irreversible but the brake needs to be applied now.

There's a constant case of "being the man" that goes around City, even Bony got a taste of it when he got a stretch of games.

Agree, the "whipping boy" culture is my least favourite thing about City fans.
