How wrong you are, I'm afraid. I've read through this thread and I think you'll find Juventus are little better than a conference team and the dirty cheats should have just rolled over and let us win. One of of the best teams in Europe? You're implying they would have won 4 titles on the trot and got to the final of the Champions League last season......
Sorry, my mistake.

Sterling's shot was going wide, it wasn't even on target. Watch it again.

It was fucking shocking. He deserves all the stick he gets for it. It was embarrassing.
Does he deserve all the stick he's getting? Does he deserve being called a poncy prick and other personal insults that have nothing to do with football? I don't think he does. Call him out for missing a chance or for losing possesion but we're becoming too quick as a fanbase to revert to being nasty twats when there's no need.
He's a young kid at a new club. He's got a huge price tag weighing him down and a national press willing him to fail so their beloved Liverpool can point to wonderful business whilst we're painted as the mugs.
The lad needs a bit of backing, not torn to shreds.

Demichelis is 4th choice. Mangala would have played had he been fit. Nasri would have featured as well as he covers for Silva. No Bony or Kelechi and we missed them too because Aguero isn't fit yet.

You expect way too much.

Kompany and Otamendi started at United. They're arguably our best centre half pairing. There's no way you can say that Mangala would have played alongside Kompany tonight had everyone been fit.

1 player down, I'll give you that.

Again, we missed Silva too. We were 2 players away from our first 11.

Of course we had a few squad players out too, doesn't every club?

Forgive me if it's too much to expect the best part of a £400m squad to force Buffon into a save, injuries or not.

Rank rotten.

Sterling is spectacularly young, we have players in our youth team who are older than him.
You're probably right, but a striker he isn't at this stage of his carreer, and he offered nothing tonight to help us get a goal, just ran a lot. I've no problem with supporting the lad, but play him in his most effective role, and its not as a number 9 (or 10) at the moment. He'll become a good player for us, if he's played in the right way, that run out tonight won't improve him imho.

Turgid, that's the word that keeps floating around in my head, seems the right word for pelligrinis tactics. If we don't bring in a proper manager, an organizer, soon this lot of players are going to be past it before they reach the heights they should.

Bony was injured as he has been most of the season. So was Mangala.

You've cut my post so that the broader message isn't there. My point is: With what we've spent we should have a squad capable of handling 4 or 5 injuries at once.

But we don't. We have 11 points from the last 8 league games. As soon as Kompany and Silva are out everything falls to shit.
