Post match V Amazulu

No need to overreact; its only the 2nd game of pre-season but as bad as pre-season games go, this wasn't a very good one. I'm sure it'll improve. I just hope that juggling fitness with a totally new style of play, and new players does not slow us down this season. And for the love of God, I hope we don't get creamed by Le Arse and Milan.

Theres some right washer women on here, it was a glorified training session

Absolutely. 30 or 40 years ago games like this would have been played behind closed doors and as a punter you wouldn't have even known they were playing.

Time some of our so called fans on here need to go and lie down for a wee while. Put some Led Zeppelin on or some-at and chill FFS!!

With the high line (defence) Chelsea really struggled under AVb and also Spurs...

It really needs lot of practice, moving together, and being fast when you lose the ball but our defenders are not fast apart from Clichy and Richards.

Dont know it is a good idea. The pressure will be huge if we concede a few goals because of this system just like Mancini's 352 was criticized a lot for it...

While pressing your opponent is incredible hard for 90 minutes. You need hell of a fitness to do that, and even with that there will be weaker 10-20-30 minute periods when you cant do that. (Dortmund is like this, Barca also.)

We really will change a lot in style, but it can easily can take a whole year to adapt to it.

I don't think we will play a high defence in games that are of importance.

Playing a high defence in a pre season friendly is just to give the fans some excitement and show that we are there to attack and play not just sit back and defend.

Regarding fitness, thats why Pellegrini is putting them through triple sessions.

Much better performance overall, most players still aren't fit and we didn't have a manager. It was difficult to get into rhythm with constant substitutions but we still outplayed Amazulu for most of the match and it was only our lack of that clinical edge and sloppy defensive mistakes (by players that won't even play much next year, if they're still here) that cost us. Our clinical edge will be improved when the likes of Silva, Navas, Aguero, Jovetic, Guidetti and Negredo join the squad.

Positives:
- Garcia (again) looking a decent option at centre-back
- Sinclair had a decent game
- Fernandinho gradually gelling into the squad
- Yaya looking (a little bit) fitter
- Nasri and Rodwell were very good
- Suarez looked very lively when he came on

Negatives:
- Further proof that Razak isn't good enough
- Kolarov
- Dzeko's touch (the norm)
- We lost again
