Post QPR Celebrations

The last thing I remember from that day is my friend turning to me just before Dzeko scored and saying "well I think that's about it". Don't remember a single point from that moment on.

Thankfully I have a mate that doesn't drink and he was driving that day

He took me around several old haunts where I am sure that I made an absolute **** of myself winding up scum red bastards - before he handled the 4 hour drive back with me either singing City songs or snoring. I need to check if I ever said thanks!!

Then just kept watching recordings on Sky until about 6am

Needed to drink through the hangover later I remember

The mate I was with was also stood next to me at the Gillingham game

When Dzeko scored I remember him saying - it couldn't happen again could it?

Train back to Euston was full of Blues. My branch had 75 on. Finished my four cans by Milton Keynes but cadged another. More cans on the tube courtesy of M&S before finding The Denmark Arms in East Ham open. Karaoke was on and I got handshakes galore from Hammers fans. Managed a further three pints in the last hour before singing We Are The Champions by Queen. Kebab and home. Slept in my City shirt and went to work the next day.

Stayed for an hour or so outside the ground then on to the commercial pub in Prestwich to have some fun with my pal who is a decent red until around 9pm then to my local in Rochdale called the Dog and Partridge which is full of horrible rags (you know the type)........fuck me did I rince them bastards that night !!

Said goodbye to mates outside, who were off back to Bramhall, but as I was working the day after I had to head home, eventually.

So, went to City Sq for a few, met a mate there with his daughter and sang my heart out.

Then walked to Victoria to catch the train home and the only thing I remember other than singing my heart out all the way and hugging everyone in sight, was I passed a pub of Rags around Tib St. They weren't happy and obviously a couple threatened to shut me up. I laughed heartily and floated on giving another rendition of "You signed Phil Jones..."

Got to Victoria to find the train was cancelled but there was a coach replacement leaving in about an hour. So after a few more in the station I occupied the back seat and got the singing going again, all the way to Oldham.

Then got picked up from there by my Latics supporting Father in Law, who I obviously kissed and hugged on arrival. I then sang my heart out again out of the car window all the way back home to Hudds.

I walked in the house, saw my Mrs, and burst into tears!

It had been a pretty emotional few months for us personally, so I guess it all came out at that moment.

It felt like Sergio had saved my life.
