In 2026, I will explore more nooks and crannies than on 2025. Went there yesterday (on the way to S'd'lan'). Cray comes from Welsh crei meaning fresh.
Alfred Wainwright noted the hamlet of Cray should be .."amongst the most loveliest of Wharfedale's hamlets, yet it is not, and it is difficult to explain why it falls short of the high standard you have come to expect." Gorgeous place but all the pubs seem to be closed down for good.
