Other common mistakes -The capital of Australia is Canberra. Not Sydney.
The capital of Morrocco is Rabat. Not Marrakech.
Beat ya’. Seven for me.I've heard of 4 of them.
This gave me proper flashbacks to my childhood.
I knew that :)The capital of Nebraska is Lincoln, not Omaha.
Other obscure capitals and states are available.
Did you see the beaver ?I just drove my atv through a deep water hole that was caused by beavers.
The water caused the radiator fan fuse to trip and therefore the atv overheated and spewed rad fluid everywhere.
To summarise, beavers made me overheat.
I did not, but I did see some bear shit.Did you see the beaver ?
Were you in the woods ?I did not, but I did see some bear shit.
The UK has a desert, near Dungeness in Kent. What is the biggest desert in the world?
Growing up in the USA in the 1960's I was taught that it is the Sahara Desert.
The answer I was taught in grade school is no longer accepted as correct. The correct answer is the Antarctic Polar Region. It seems that the classification of what constitutes a desert has changed sometime in the past - but I've no idea when.

I confused this with weekend worlds use of Nantucket sleigh ride but an unusual proggy departure for the Eagles was the theme for hitch hiker’s guide to the galaxy (give it till at least 1 minute)
Is there a right way up in space, Australia is always depicted as upside down but is this relevant in space, is there a right way up for planets ?If a snooker ball was scaled up to be the size of the earth, it would have mountains higher than everest.
(And would be quite difficult to pot.)
Nope. Just convention. Is there a right way up in space, Australia is always depicted as upside down but is this relevant in space, is there a right way up for planets ?
Australia can't be upside down, all the people would fall off if it was.Is there a right way up in space, Australia is always depicted as upside down but is this relevant in space, is there a right way up for planets ?
If you wrapped a single layer of clingfilm around a snooker ball, it would represent the size of the breathable atmosphere on Earth. If a snooker ball was scaled up to be the size of the earth, it would have mountains higher than everest.
(And would be quite difficult to pot.)
