It's 2019 and there have been advances in lots of areas but we are still repairing roads like we did in the 60s. There must be some research somewhere that will make someone money and make our roads better!

We're using recyclables a lot more.
Different types of material,that cut down on road noise,give better grip for tyres,flexibility.



The major issue is more traffic,heavier vehicles,38tonnes to 44tonnes etc,lack of forward planning and not enough investment over the years.
