What if VVD was to jump in two footed on one of his next opponents and it resulted in a double leg fracture?
It was just a coming together.
Which is fair.Last season this wasn't true. Salah scored 7 times against the big 6.
Besides KDB was more of a creator last season. As is often the case, goalscorers are more regularly chosen. Anyone of KDB or Salah would have been a deserving winner.
Anyone between VVD & Sterling winning it this year would also be fair ...oh wait , I see a pattern developing

How do you like your football? A great defender who is applauded by the stadium crowd or a forward who brings a stadium crowd to their feet roaring their applause. There should only be one winner of this and it is not a defender. Football is about goals, that is why we go.

Same goes for me. Van Dijk is incredible, so I won’t be to bitter about Raz losing out. I was miffed about Salah winning it last year though, KDB deserved it.
