You might be right but I'll bet the 20% pass it onto mates, supporter clubs etc. By the time we get to Wembley about 50% will know about it and the other 50% will probably join in.

mate hardly anyone in the ground knew about the neil young clapping and that was after the club themselves also publicised it , the things that take of best at matches are those that are spontaneous not planned on the Internet by people who probably wont even be there but want to see a spectacle on the tv or in the pub

I had a similar view to yours the last time it was muted (by gillymcfc i think) to do a poznan at wembley. At the time the poznan was in full swing home and away and was happening spontaneously and I thought that it was a shame to sanitize that by announcing it in advance and trying to organise it... I was dead wrong, it worked really well, almost every blue at Wembley joined in unison and it looked absolutely mint as you probably well know.
