I thought he did very well. He was a lone teenage striker against 3 CB.

Should have had a goal but for an amazing save by Howard.

Not many young players will have a tougher league home debut than Everton, and not only that but actually leading the line, at 18 as well!

He is clearly needs to bulk up but you can see he has good movement, decent passing and has an eye for a goal.

Now he knows what the step up is like he can go away and prepare himself better so he can further his career to the level he will need to be in a few years if he want to have a career at the highest level.

Fair play to him, I think we have a player here.

Such a shame that shot didn't go in.

It's the difference when a top class prem keeper is in front of you. If he'd have done that in the eds he would probably have been reeling away celebrating a goal.

It was always going to be difficult today as a kid playing up front alone against two physical centre halves. He looked a bit out of his depth at times, but did OK and was unlucky not to score when Howard made a good save. Great prospect, and will benefit from the experience.

Despite the size difference against two big centre halves he showed a ton of character out there today. As others have said it was a miraculous save by Howard that prevented a goal. Pozo strikes me more as a natural attacking midfielder rather than where he played today, so it will be exciting to watch his development.

I also enjoyed his handshake with Andre Marriner when he was substituted. I think Marriner is so used to players getting in his face to have a go at him, that he got a shock when Pozo shook his hand and thanked him!

Pozo need more authority and to impose himself

He does need more authority and to impose himself more but make no mistake the lad is a talent. I was also seriously impressed with Ihenacho in the bits we have seen against him but Pozo has something and I think Vieira and Pellegrini know it. He isn't the sort to take it all by storm and to a degree I felt he was a little overawed today but there were little signs and I have great confidence that our management will continue to handle him well as he develops into a top player.

And whils it was a good save by Howard it was also a lucky one imo so he could so easily have started his first game and scored

Showed some really good glimpses, but it appeared that a few (Nasri mainly) were hesitant to give him the ball a lot of the time. I think he has a big, big future with us though.

Great technical ability but as others have said he looks weak and as a lone striker he was always going to struggle to hold the ball up against two physical cb's.

Gutted that he didn't score with that shot.

Reminds me a lot of Ahmed Benali.... a great young AM who is Mcr born and bred and came right through our academy.... who should have been given his chance... stronger, physically that Pozo ...now playing for Brescia in Italian 2nd div


let's stick with the lad... that said, like Benali.. he seems to me more of a natural AM than striker
