Ahoj. I have lived in Prague for the past 3 years and it is a fantastic place to visit.
There is a lot more to do and see here than some of the previous posters have mentioned ;) It is worth seeing Charles Bridge, the castle, Old Town Square, Jewish Quarter etc but also worth exploring some of places slightly out of the centre.
The public transport is second to none with metro, trams and busses on an integrated system
Once you get away from the touristy rip-off areas, beer is about £1 a pint and the food is cheap. Czech food and a couple of pints will set you back about £6 depending on where you go. It is a very safe and clean city too. If you want to change money, do it here rather than in the UK before you come. There are a few good spots near Wenceslass Square where you can get really good rates, although there are also a lot where you will get ripped off.
