The clock is proper shit. Make sure you pay the 3 or 4 euro's to climb the top of the tower by the cathedral. It takes a LONG time to get up and is tiring, but you get a great view of the city from the top.

Prague is one of the best Cities to just walk around and get of the main tourist track. Its small enough that you dont really need taxis anywhere and once you get away from the 2 main squares its an amazing city.

Old square and clock is definitely worh seeing, the big Wenscelas square is not much to see really but worth a look. The cathedral is stunning and its free to go around and that side of the river has nice areas. The small eiffel tower gives you a brilliant view of Prague. Main thing id say is just walk of the main areas and you will find some great places. Of the old square there is a Street called Dlouha that has some really good bars and clubs for night time. Restaurants everywhere. For Saturday afternoon football there is a brilliant little bar called Oche's which do good food, beer and show every match of the day.

I went there last year had a great time lots of things to see and do. I visited the concentration camp only an hours drive away and the square is nice. Tbh I didn't really see it as drinking place lots of cultural things to see.

Went for the Plzen game last year, cant really tell you much other than the booze up is great. Would like to go back for a bit of culture though, and more cheap beer.

the place is teeming with pickpockets !!
altho its a few years since ive been, i got attempted on by about 4 russians on the underground all at once, after my phone which was in my shirt breast pocket, they squashed me as i boarded the train ,the wife spotted one dip for my fone and grabbed his arm ,dug her nails in until he dropped it,
cheeky bastards stood next to us until the next stop when they all got off
heard loads of similar stories ,watch out !

I got married there last Sunday by the way, sadly didn't get back in time to watch the Liverpool game, but did get back in time for the Stoke game LOL

Do not's -

Chase any German student girls down a hostel corridor barking like a dog,
Take a girl back to the hostel, use the room next door because your mate is using your room but actually is asleep whilst the girl he's took back rifles through your bags and steals your passport,
Kick a door in at the hostel when you realise it's your own fault you won't be on the scheduled flight back to England,
Stand by whilst your mate continuously interrupts a pianist in a swanky local bar,
Fall asleep in a nightclub giving your friends the chance to scarper and leave you wondering where the fuck you are when you wake up,
Wander the streets drinking until the cleaners open up McDonald's and then ask them if you can have a kip upstairs until opening time,
Get so drunk that you don't realise that the girl you are chatting up at the bar so effortlessly will actually require payment later.

Do not -

Drunkenly wander downstairs in a strip joint and get dragged on stage by one of the girls who proceeds to pull your pants down, lay you face down and stick a lighted candle in your arse - while all your mates watch it on a screen upstairs!! (not me a mate honest)

stayed in prague when we played plzen last year, its great for a piss up - cheap as chips, though i did find it a bit ''stag do-y''. both the squares are a cool place to go for restauraunts and especially in the old square all of the narrow back streets.
