Cheers mate, I'm looking to do 50 bars in the 4 days so it sounds like the perfect place to go, been on my to-do list for years but never got round to it..

About the food, it really is good. Kind of like a cross between many Central European styles.

I believed goulash to be a Hungarian dish, but Prague had a great version. They serve it in a hollowed out crusty loaf as well, which is very tasty and a good stomach liner.

Can get a good duck or boar as well.

Really like this thread ;-) I'm booked to visit Prague and Jhilava in April. My son emigrated to Czech Republic in 2016 and I'm going over to see my new Granddaughter who is due to make her first appearance in about 5 weeks. So any info from anyone who has been already is very welcome ;-)

Been to pretty much every major city in Europe, Madrid, Barcelona, Dublin, Amsterdam and more and for me Prague is the best place I have visited, and loads of bars to watch football, one bar which I can't remember the name shows the football and has a live feed on the pub so you can watch from UK what is going on in the pub, not sure if it still does it anymore, long time ago since I went

I'm travelling on derby day, son is collecting me from the airport and then a 2 hour drive to theirs. It's going to be an anxious drive for 2 blues ;-)

Nah, piss on the scum so no worries there, then plenty of time to enjoy the holiday with your son
