They’re a bit of harmless fun mainly for kids. I find it odd that people get so wound up about them.

I enjoy them but notice they are becoming a feature now at more and more evening games meaning the novelty will soon wear off.
Just keep them for the occasional big games and it will add to the occasion otherwise too frequent and they become a bore

Doing em for just big occasions is more tacky in my opinion, if we are doing them for night games then do them for all or for none
