Pre Match Thread - City v Juventus (update for injuries)

Start with Bony and with 20 to go, Navas on for Bony with Sterling going upfront. Nasri will replace Silva too in the 2nd half (to protect him after injury). De Bruyne to play 90 minutes (unless tactically replaced by Demichelis late on). Easy this management lark. 2-0 City.

Aguero out.
That's no great surprise. It's time for Bony to step up. It's still annoying that Kun was so crudely taken out.

Some on here are staying that Fernandinho hasn't trained? I hope not because that is our one real weakness. We can't trot out Fernando when he hasn't played all season. Even at his best there is a huge gap between him and Dinho.

For some time I have been salivating over a front four of Silva, Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne (haven't we all).

I wonder when they are actually going to play together?

Prefer us to not risk Silva, Sterling or Aguero at all, save them for priority of prem league.

Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Kolorov, Yaya, Fernandhino, Nasri. Navas, KDB, Bony. That team has enough to secure the 1-0 win that is required.

Sterling and Silva on the bench only.

We won 1-0 at home in 1976 but lost 2-0 away . ?.

Never been a better time to demonstrate the quality within the squad. Even though Juve have had such a poor start I can't see them just turning up and hoping that they'll nick it on the night like so many have done over the last few seasons. They also have players who are well versed in the dark arts of CL football! Expect that Nacho will start on Saturday, as every other striker in the queue before him will be on the treatment table!!
