4 likeliest kids to feature tonight are maffeo , nacho , garcia and roberts , think MP will be conservative tonight and maybe give nacho a start and the other 3 on the bench , But what do we do with sergio ? do we play him through his poor form hoping he knocks a couple of goals in , or rest him completely for the spuds game ?

anyone else got the horrible feeling we are going to get turned over tonight. I hope I am wrong and we demolish them 15-0. But the way things are going at the moment we don't seem to be getting the rub of the green. I think we could have easily beat both west ham and juve in our last two games, the chances were there but just not clinical enough. In no way am I going to have a pop at Sergio, but it seems to me and my untrained eye, he takes a lot of shots per game before burying them.

That's the spirit. Top of prem playing really well against relegation material playing atrociously and your concerened.

I honestly feel we need to give Iheanacho a chance. He could be the key to this season. We can't fall into the trap of counting solely on Aguero. If we can't give him a chance in a cup game then when?

We can't permanently be ruled by the logic of counting solely on Aguero. What if Aguero gets injured (maybe even today)? Who do we play?

Preferably Bony - Iheanacho and a 4-4-2.

If we're predominantly playing a 451 this season, cannot see any logic in going 442 tonight, or am I missing something?

No Aguero for me tonight. We really need to get him fully fit. If we're going to play someone in bad form it has to be Bony. Even so, I'd rather Kelechi start with Wilfried coming on for the last 30 mins if needed.

Why? Would it be so bad if we were knocked out of this comp? We currently have the joint most injuries in the league so, as you've pointed out, there aren't that many fringe players in reserve. Also if we aren't going to take a gamble with youth in this comp then when are we going to take the gamble with them? And if we aren't ever going to gamble with them then what's the point in actively trying to develop and recruit the best youth talent.

If we get knocked out tonight, then that reduces further any opportunity for the young guns. I would play our strongest available 11, get the match won and then maybe bring on one or two lads. Get a relatively easy home draw and then there is another opportunity.

No matter what Pellers does tonight he will not please everybodies line up, so maybe we just accept the win as being most important

I hardly ever turn up at a City fixture not having gone through 'We're gonna get turned over' mode!! Anyone remember those three fixtures we had some seasons back where we played THREE bottom of the table (as we kicked off each fixture) teams - WBA, Norwich, Blackburn, I think - and we accumulated the magnificent total of one point! We FOCs from CBL3 find it hard to move from a disaster scenario to the blue and pleasant lands even with the squad we've got.
