Might as well just get rid of the entire academy. If we're never going to give the better lads of the academy a go in our first team to find out if they are good enough to cut it at the top level and to give them valuable experience then what's the entire point? Away to a poor Sunderland side in the early rounds of the carling cup is the ideal situation for a couple of them to get involved.

After 2 defeats on the trot it also allows some of the players to recover and get their thoughts together before a much much bigger game on Saturday at Spurs.

Maffeo, Roberts and Kelechi to be involved from the start would be ideal, and if we're doing well then we could bring on Garcia from the bench.

That's just over reacting. And somehow, your couple of starters has grown to four. Lets win the game first and then filetr one or two in

I'm desperate to see Roberts, Kelechi, Manu Garcia and Barker. I know it's a lot to ask and a big risk but I seriously think that these guys will be desperate to show what they can do. A mixture of these players starting with more experienced players, just to keep an eye on them, would be superb.

I'd just be a bit concerned that they'd all run about like headless James Milners in desperation to show what they can do. Like Kelechi against Watford. If there are too many young players doing that from the start, Sunderland will absolutely pick us a part seeing as they'll undoubtedly put out their strongest, most experienced team.

Whats the deal with posting links? Can we post the name of the website with the steam? If one was to type First Row Sports into google they should find what they are looking for.

Looking forward to seeing some kids/fringe players. Serves two purposes, much needed rest for a depleted senior squad, and a real boost to the kids that must have some doubts that the club is committed to bringing players through.
I see it the otherway i.e. an opportunity to those currently misfiring to get a tune up.
