But will they remain fans if our star starts to wane?
I think the idea is to make people fall in love with City. Once they do, I don't think they would "switch." Most people stay loyal to their teams. You still see a lot of United fans in various countries, despite the fact they haven't been at the top for years. I went to Kenya a couple of years ago for work and stayed there for 3 months. They had lots of United, Arsenal fans watching all of their games. On the other hand, our following was relatively low despite the fact we have been a far better, more successful team over the last 10-15 years. I personally love the idea that we are trying to create a global brand in Brazil, Japan, and all around the world. One big City family across the globe ;).
